Mikala Djorup

Mikala did a traditional jewellery apprenticeship in her native Copenhagen before graduating with first class honours from London Metropolitan University.

Soon after graduating, she opened her shop in cosy Gabriel's Wharf which she ran successfully for 11 years, before moving to the iconic Oxo Tower. The new space has a distinct Nordic feel which reflects Mikala's Danish background.

She regularly attends prestigious exhibitions and jewellery fairs both at home and abroad.

Mikala makes wearable jewellery, modern with a glance back in time. Her work is dominated by classic simple shapes, matt surfaces and a combination of unusual diamonds and pearls.

The South Bank in London has become an exciting place in recent years. It can't be beat on the concentration of cultural offerings and the Oxo Tower is a great stop on this happening stretch.

The Oxo has a great selection of independent jewellery and design shops, and is a perfect place to explore diverse styles and high quality craftsmanship.
