How to shop

Choosing a new piece of jewellery either for yourself or someone else, takes time and reflection. For some the decision making is better done at home, and therefore we are happy to offer you the option of buying your piece of jewellery online and not only in our shop in the OXO Tower. If you prefer personal guidance and advice you are always welcome to visit us in the OXO Tower, where all the pieces of jewellery are handmade on the premises. Buying online is simple, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact us via email or phone.

Size

Finding the perfect ring size can be a bit tricky. It all depends on the shape and design of the ring, but we are pretty good at getting it right. The best way for you to find your ring size is to go to a jeweller and have your finger measured. Even better, come and see us and we will do it for you. If you are unable to do any or this or if you are buying the ring as a gift, sizes can be changed later.

Bespoke requests

Jewellery is very personal and often holds special meaning. We are very happy to create a one-of-a-kind piece for you. If you have seen anything you like, but want to have it customized, please get in touch and we would be happy to sit down for an initial meeting to discuss how Mikala can help getting it exactly right. If you have your own stones you wish to have incorporated in a piece of jewellery, we would be happy to see you and your stones, and talk about how it can become a beautiful piece of jewellery with your own story.

Wedding and engagement rings

Mikala is happy to offer personalized wedding and engagement rings, either it be a special design idea or a customized engraving. If you wish to propose with an individual and characterful design, please get in touch, and we will be happy to have a meeting and talk through your initial wishes. We have an exciting selection of unusual diamonds and pearls and if there is something we don't have, we can probably find it for you.

Product Care

Everything is solid 18kt gold or platinum and nothing is plated.

Most of the pieces have Mikala’s signature matt surface. With frequent wear this surface can become a bit polished, especially on rings. If you experience any unwanted changes in your matt surface, please stop by and we shall be happy to recreate the surface for you.

Keeping your diamonds clean is important. A very simple and safe way to clean your diamonds is to soak them for five minutes in hot soap water and then clean gently with a soft unused toothbrush. Make sure not to use this method on any pearl jewellery.

When you are not wearing your jewellery, make sure to keep them safe and preferably in small boxes, keeping them from the affects of pollutions and the likes.
